As Chief People Officer, Liz leads the long-term people strategy at Port Blakely, overseeing all aspects of the employee experience, company culture, and organizational development.Â
In her role, Liz plays a crucial part in shaping the company’s future by advancing talent and organizational strategies that both preserve and enhance the company culture while achieving business goals in the short and long term. She collaborates closely with the board on matters such as executive compensation and succession planning. Additionally, Liz provides guidance to the Eddy family on governance and long-term planning.
Liz spent over a decade in senior leadership roles at Starbucks, where she led global talent initiatives and significant organizational transformation efforts. She began her career in Accenture's change management practice, where she consulted across the U.S. and Europe, and later worked for a nonprofit organization leading educational reform in public high schools.
Liz serves as a board member and former chair of the Seattle Girls’ School and is a part of the Advisory Council for The Mountaineers. She is also a member of the International Women’s Forum and an alumna of the Onboarding Women Board Readiness program. Liz holds a BA in Neuroscience from Mount Holyoke College and has earned both her MEd and PhD in educational leadership and organizational change from the University of Washington. In her free time, Liz enjoys outdoor adventures with her husband, two children, and two dogs.
