Supporting Our Communities

We care for our forests and the communities connected to them.

Being good neighbours means taking the time to understand what matters in the places where we live and work. Through our community giving, we support local schools, sports teams, cultural events, and environmental initiatives, contributing in ways that reflect the life of the communities around us.

Shaping the Future of Forestry

Driving the New Zealand forestry sector forward is part of our commitment, and our teams are actively involved in making it happen. We contribute our expertise and participate in industry leadership through partnerships with New Zealand Wood Councils, and the Forest Growers Levy Trust, public research organisations, the Forest Owners Association. Through these and other sector collaborations, we foster innovation and strengthen forestry for the future.

Investing in our Communities

Our support is driven by the people who know our communities best, our employees. Through an employee-led giving committee, we invest in efforts that strengthen and support our local communities.

Funding opportunities include:

  • Community Grants – Funding for local sports teams, schools, cultural events, and projects.
  • In-Kind Support – Forest access for fundraising, recreation, and education initiatives.
  • Education & Research – Partnering with universities and programmes to support forestry education and research.
  • Industry Sponsorships – Supporting sector growth through events, partnerships, and collaboration with professional and research organisations.
