Anne McClain

Anne McClain is a U.S. Army colonel, NASA astronaut, and Family Director on the Port Blakely Board.  A fourth-generation member of the Eddy family, she brings a unique combination of operational, technical, and strategic expertise to the board.

Anne graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a B.S. in mechanical and aeronautical engineering. As a Marshall Scholar, she earned a master’s degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Bath and a master’s degree in international relations from the University of Bristol. She also holds a master’s degree in strategic studies from the U.S. Army War College.

An accomplished Army aviator, Anne has spent much of her military career flying the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior reconnaissance and attack helicopter. She has held a range of leadership roles, was deployed to Iraq for 15 months, and has served as both an instructor pilot and an experimental test pilot. A graduate of the U.S. Navy Test Pilot School, she is a Master Army Aviator with more than 2,500 flight hours across 24 rotary- and fixed-wing aircraft.

Anne was selected as a NASA astronaut in 2013. She launched on her first spaceflight in 2018, spending 204 days aboard the International Space Station (ISS) and serving as lead spacewalker on two missions. Most recently, she served as commander of NASA’s SpaceX Crew-10 mission and as a flight engineer on Expeditions 72/73 aboard the ISS, completing the mission in August 2025.

Anne previously served on the Eddy Family Council from 2016 to 2017, where she helped establish the Eddy Leadership Academy and the family’s partnership with the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS).
