Colleen Brown

Colleen Brown is a corporate director and former public company CEO with expertise in strategy, governance, generational stewardship, and value creation. She serves as Vice Chair of Panarchy and Senior Advisor with Smith Goffman Partners, advising boards and executive teams on organizational renewal and long-term performance.

Previously, Colleen served as CEO and Director of Fisher Communications and Chair and Interim CEO of Spark Networks. She has held senior executive roles with family-controlled public companies including Fisher, Belo Corp. and Lee Enterprises, where she focused on balancing stewardship, growth, and shareholder value. She currently serves on the board of Bakkt Holdings and has previously served on the boards of TrueBlue and family-controlled Big 5 Sporting Goods.

Colleen brings governance experience across public companies, family enterprises, and nonprofit organizations, with particular expertise in capital allocation, CEO succession, and long-term value creation. She has twice been recognized among NACD's Directorship 100 and serves as Chair-Elect of NACD's Minnesota Chapter.
