Andrew Cocking

As Managing Director of New Zealand Forestry, Andrew Cocking leads Port Blakely's New Zealand operations, overseeing strategy and land management while ensuring the estate's long-term health, performance and sustainability.

Before becoming managing director, Andrew served as general manager of Port Blakely's New Zealand forestry operations, building a strong foundation in leadership, operational excellence and team development. He brings nearly three decades of experience in the forestry sector.

His leadership is grounded in deep operational expertise and a strong understanding of the region's unique forestry landscape. Over the years, he has played a key role in advancing innovation in silviculture, improving environmental outcomes and strengthening organizational resilience.

Andrew holds a degree in Forestry Science from the University of Canterbury and has completed executive leadership training through the New Zealand Institute of Management.
