Chief Executive Officer

Mike Warjone

As Chief Executive Officer, Mike Warjone leads Port Blakely’s enterprise-wide strategy and operations, guiding the company’s forestry businesses across the United States and New Zealand.

With nearly three decades at Port Blakely, Mike has been instrumental in shaping the company’s growth and evolution. He became CEO in January 2026 after serving as President of US Forestry, where he advanced Port Blakely’s leadership in climate-smart forestry and natural climate solutions. Earlier in his career, he held a range of operational and strategic roles, including Vice President of Operations, Director of Strategy, Silviculture Manager, and Forester.

A fourth-generation descendant of the company’s founders, Mike combines operational expertise with a long-term, stewardship-focused perspective. He has led major timberland acquisitions, guided Port Blakely’s entry into the voluntary carbon market, and is an active voice in cross-sector efforts to advance climate policy and sustainable land use.

Mike serves on the boards Sustainable Northwest and the National Alliance of Forest Owners.

A native of the Pacific Northwest, he enjoys spending time with his family on Puget Sound and in the Cascade Mountains. He holds an MBA from the University of Washington.
