As fall hunting seasons begin across Oregon and Washington, thousands of hunters are preparing for deer, elk, bear, and other game seasons. Before heading into the field, it's important to understand where hunting is allowed and how access differs between public lands and privately managed working forests.

Port Blakely manages private working forests throughout Oregon and Washington. While hunting is permitted on many of our forestlands, access is not the same as on public lands. Active timber operations, changing road conditions, wildfire restrictions, and ongoing forest management activities can all affect where and when visitors may enter our properties.

Planning ahead helps create a safer experience for everyone who uses our forests. Motorized vehicle access, including ATVs and UTVs, is not permitted on Port Blakely forestlands, and visitors should always obey posted signs and temporary closures.
