Employee Wellbeing

Focusing On Health & Safety

Port Blakely invests in and actively promotes a company-wide culture supporting employee wellbeing. Each of our divisions and our corporate office undergo regular safety assessments. Employees at every level are trained to identify hazards and communicate with team members.

In our forests, we utilize the “Safety Culture Tree,” a process that surveys crews about safety and seeks out ideas for improvements. Health and safety psychologists developed the Safety Culture Tree process with input from the forestry industry. Our goal—each day, every day—is to ensure that every employee is doing his or her job the right way, the safe way, no matter what.

This has never been more critical than during the pandemic. Over the last year, we've been able to continue to operate, closely following the guidance of global and local health authorities.
